It’s such a precious pocket of time – those first few days of motherhood. It’s also not something that you can explain to anyone else, except a fellow mother. You’re there with this little baby – whom you’ve prayed over and prepared for, for months. You are so tired, yet so excited at the same time. You can’t wait to get some sleep!! But – you’ll find yourself up at 3 am just staring at your perfect child.
All of these memories came flooding back to me while I was at Rachael + Bo’s home in San Francisco photographing their perfect new baby boy- Miles. Sweet Rachael fell asleep while coaxing Miles into a nap and I just couldn’t help but feel all those warm feelings of new motherhood again. That moment was sacred and will lay upon my heart forever.
Baby Miles and his parents were picture perfect. Everything about their session was a dream! I couldn’t have planned it better, even if I tried. Even their dog – Julep was in on all the fun. All in all, this session was a little bit of newborn magic and I hope they will treasure the memories and much as I will!
