I just adore this session. It really captures all of those wonderful moments and feelings that come with bringing home your new baby. The first few weeks are a special kind of magic and I’ve even heard it called a “baby-moon”. I totally get that! You are able to live in your own bubble with this perfect and fresh baby that is all YOURS. You can easily spend hours staring at this mini you and completely lose yourself in falling head over heels for someone that will inevitably wake you up exactly 15 minutes after you fall asleep. You and your partner bond over both the hard parts (hello, 2 am feedings!) and also the amazing ones too (those eyelashes and toes are definitely THE cutest things in the universe).
It’s such a blessing when I can catch all of these things and put them into a time capsule of photographs for new parents. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first baby or your 10th – nothing will ever be sweeter than that perfect pocket of time where it’s just you, your love, and your new baby. In- home newborn photography sessions allow me to come into your world just long enough to capture you and your new family being just as you are.
Megan and Mat invited me over to their light filled San Francisco home to meet Baby Brooks. He was the sweetest!! I absolutely fell in love and had a picture perfect in-home newborn session :) They were relaxed, in love, and I used the beautiful natural light to document every sweet detail of Brooks. This little family is so blessed and I am so happy to have captured these precious memories for them.
