Isla and I met over a year ago in a pregnancy group in SF. I immediately loved her name– we had picked Ayla, but almost went with Aila, which is pronounced like Isla! I was drawn to her quiet, English voice, and her sweetness to everyone around. It took months before Isla told everyone that she had her PhD and was a legitimate research doctor! Her daughter Carys is the sweetest little love. It was freezing down by the water and we were hoping to get pictures with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. I think it looks kind of cool peeking through the fog :)
