For a maternity session, I know the photos are pretty much all about the mom-to-be and the baby bump, but this one was a little different and very special. I couldn’t help to notice just how much the husband admired his wife, Joey. As my time with them progressed, I constantly caught him looking at her and staring into her eyes as if they had just met, both on and off camera. They were so comfortable and close with one another that I couldn’t really get a bad photo. Furthermore, I didn’t have to give much direction. Their body language with one another gave off such a warm and sensitive expression that translated into natural, unstaged photos. Of course, the setting helped. Cavallo Point.
I didn’t really give much thought to the experience until I got home and uploaded their photos. I remember thinking to myself when I left Cavallo that I had had such an easy session, but it only dawned on me after that I left there in a really good mood because of them. I actually had such a large gallery of great pictures that I didn’t know which ones to send to them. It was like photo overload.
It’s always nice to have ‘easy’ clients, but it’s not always typical to have clients like these. I hope I have another maternity session with the same experience. I wish them the best!
