I’m sure by now you have heard me sing the praises of having a Petite Session. You know how much I love making professional photography accessible, affordable, and also FUN for as many families as I can! Listen, I know that having professional photographs taken can sometimes be just a tad stressful. I’ve been there, too.
Shopping for a month to find a Pinterest-worthy coordinating outfit for each member of the family, pulling on 2 pairs of Spanx to feel just a little bit better about stepping in front of a camera, and then trying to magically get everyone dressed and literally to the place of this photo session. By the time you actually arrive, one kid is going to be screaming and the husband… totally over it. You’re probably just hoping for ONE DECENT PHOTO at this point. And when that hour long session is over and you’ve asked (maybe screamed at?) your 3 kids to “look at the camera!!!!!!” 374 times, you will ask yourself… “Is this really what I have to go through to get a family photo!?”
Well mama, it isn’t! Sometimes kids just need to be kids. They can smell fear. They know how at what exact point to have a meltdown so that you too will lose your mind. They know you want them to be still and smile… so of course, they’re going to want to run wild. So… let’s let them run wild! Give me 30 minutes of your time and I promise that you will have not only family photographs, but also FUN with your family! Let’s not fake those candid photos – you can actually have a stress free (ok, almost!) family photography session and still get photos that you will love. It’s my mission to take the worry and strife out of the session and make it a memory worth remembering.
Petite Sessions aren’t for everyone… Some need the time and attention that a full session will bring. Others, will enjoy the quick and easy approach- that not only makes the process of having the photographs taken easier, but also the choosing of the photographs after the session simpler too! If you are wanting just a few photographs to update your family portrait or to celebrate a particular milestone … a Petite Session might be perfect for you!
Full family sessions are awesome for a documentary or lifestyle approach. Newborns, Families at Home, and those who want more photographs to choose from, will appreciate taking the extra time to get exactly what they hoped for. It’s awesome to know that you can relax and wait for photo worthy moments to happen. Either way, I’m here for YOU.
