What can you expect at a Maternity Photoshoot with Katie Rain Photography?
Maternity sessions are about slowing down and honoring this brief, in-between season before everything changes. No stiff posing or pressure to perform, just a focus on connection, movement, and the quiet anticipation that comes with waiting to meet your baby.
These sessions can take place outdoors or in your home, using soft light and familiar surroundings to create images that feel timeless and true. I guide you throughout so you never have to wonder what to do, and the session unfolds at an easy, unhurried pace.
Many families choose to book the Bump to Baby Package, which includes both your maternity session and a newborn session once your baby arrives. It’s our most popular option and allows us to tell a more complete story, from this chapter of waiting to those first days at home together.

I love helping clients choose the perfect outfits for their photoshoot. You’ll have my personal cell number, so you can text me outfit ideas or any questions as you’re planning — I’m here to help every step of the way.
02.Wardrobe help
Woo hoo — it’s photoshoot day! We’ll meet at our chosen location and jump right in. I’ll guide and direct you throughout the session, all while keeping things playful and fun for your kids. I promise it’s easier than you think!
03. Photoshoot day!
Your password protected gallery will be sent to your email inbox 2 weeks after our session. You will also receive a slideshow in your text messages, which is a great way to share your photos with friends and family.
04. Gallery delivery
Please print your photos and get them off your phones! There is a very convenient full online store attached to your gallery, which means ordering prints and products is easier than ever! Please inquire for custom albums and help with ordering. Enjoy your photos!

You will receive your finished online gallery within 2 weeks of the session date.
Will I receive the images?
I require a deposit when you book your session. That deposit will hold your date on my calendar and will be applied to your total balance due.
How can we secure our date?
Yes, of course! Sometimes clients like to wait until the baby is born to decide if they want to do newborn photos. In most cases, they decide they do want them!
Can I add the newborn session after the baby is born?
I am happy to help with wardrobe choices! Solid colors and neutrals photograph really well for maternity sessions.
